What to Expect From Us
We will communicate with you throughout the process.
- Do you prefer text or call for your weekly update.
- We will be in communication with your insurance company in a timely manner and expect them to communicate back. Sometimes, they have major delays in their communication that will hinder repair estimate time frames.
What We Need From You
- Your Insurance Estimate or Claim Information
- Signed Authorization (we will provide)
- We may ask you to call your insurance adjuster and demand updates if they are delaying the approval process for our shop. We may include you on email communications with your provider.
- Filling out our surveys and writing a google review about your experience.
Expect to be briefed on procedures and costs.
- Process for check in - walk the vehicle and verify all damages in claim.
- Process check out - payments, final walk. questions/concerns
- Deductible - you are responsible for the payment of your deductible at time of pickup
How long will the repair process take? This is a loaded question...
- Is the insurance a DRP or Independent? Do we have a direct repair facility contract with your carrier or not?
- Parts - are they delayed/backordered or readily available?
- Sublets - 3rd party vendors, Mechanical Repairs.
The 3rd party vendors' availability can affect the repair process timeframe.
What to Expect From Your Insurance Company
- Rental Vehicle Coverage - Varies by policy. Typically, if you have this coverage, you are covered for 30 days.
- Parts - we are only allowed to write for what the insurance allows for. If you have aftermarket parts on your policy, unfortunately, there is not much we can do to provide OEM parts.
- Who Pays for the Repairs - there is always a preliminary estimate that your insurance will pay you for initially. We ask that you bring the original payout directly to us endorsed. Then, it is common for additional damages to present themselves during the teardown process, a supplement request is put in for your provider to pay us directly.
Total Loss Vehicle
- Insurance adjusters are the ones who determine whether a vehicle is totaled.
- A totaled vehicle can be covered by comprehensive, collision, or property damage liability insurance, depending on the situation.
- If your totaled vehicle has a loan or lease balance, your insurer will first reimburse your lender or lessor.
- You may have the option to keep a totaled vehicle, but it's unlikely to be worth it.
- We will not rebuild total losses. It is a huge liability for the company and the customer. Once your insurer deems a total loss on the vehicle, the vehicle will not be put back to its original form of arrival.
- You have a very small window of time to come get your personal items out of your vehicle, insurance dictates this time frame.
